Telangana Horror: Man Accused in POCSO Case Allegedly Murders Six People After Getting Bail

A 35-year-old man accused in a Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) case has allegedly murdered six people, including the teenage complainant, before fleeing, triggering a massive police manhunt in Telangana's Rangareddy district.

According to police, the accused, identified as Rajkumar, was booked under the POCSO Act in May after a complaint was lodged by a 16-year-old girl and her mother, accusing him of sexual harassment and stalking. He later obtained anticipatory bail from a local court and was released on a personal bond, as the alleged offence carried a maximum punishment of less than seven years.

Police said the horrific chain of events began at around 10:45 pm on Friday when Rajkumar allegedly drove about six kilometres from his native village to Shabad town. He reportedly went to the residence of the teenage complainant, where he allegedly attacked and killed her 42-year-old mother after she opened the door.

Investigators allege that he then entered the house and fatally attacked the girl's 60-year-old grandmother while she was asleep before forcing the teenager into his car.

Police believe the accused drove the girl to a nearby lake, where he allegedly murdered her and abandoned her body near the lake bund.

Authorities say Rajkumar then returned to his own home, arriving at around 11:21 pm. Within minutes, he allegedly killed his 31-year-old wife and their two young sons, aged four years and 18 months, while they were asleep.

After the alleged killings, Rajkumar reportedly called his father, informed him about the murders, and fled in his car. Police were alerted immediately, and all six bodies were sent for post-mortem examination.

Future City Police Commissioner Tarun Joshi confirmed that the accused remains absconding and that multiple police teams have been deployed to trace him.

"The accused is absconding, and we have launched a manhunt to trace him. At this point, we do not know what might have triggered him to kill the girl, her family, and his own family members," Commissioner Tarun Joshi said.

The investigation is ongoing, and police are continuing efforts to locate the accused and determine the motive behind one of the most shocking multiple-homicide cases reported in the state in recent years.
